What is a vegetarian?

In North America and most Western cultures a vegetarian is someone who avoids meat, poultry and most foods arising from animal slaughter. Vegeterians would eat dairy products, fish, seafood, eggs and honey.

The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition tells us that vegetarian diets contain less fat, and vegetarians are less likely to have cancer, asthma, heart problems, high blood pressure or diabetes.

Vegetarian diets, like all diets, need to be planned appropriately to be nutritionally adequate.

If you choose a vegetarian life style totally or partially, there is no reason not to eat a delicious nutritious food and balance your meal to get what your body needs.
